Why is this important?
Autonomous technology is slowly making its way into every aspect of our lives. From self-driving cars to delivery drones, we’re seeing more and more machines doing things without human input. Now, a new study suggests that autonomous trucks could have a massive impact on the logistics industry. According to the researchers, autonomous trucks could increase efficiency by up to 50 percent, and cost jobs for hundreds of thousands of truck drivers. So, what does this mean for the future of trucking? And what will it mean for the economy as a whole?
