New Quantum Technology To Make Charging Electric Cars As Fast as Pumping Gas

We all know the drill plug in your electric vehicle overnight and hope that it’s fully charged by morning. But what if there was a way to charge your car in minutes instead of hours? That’s where quantum charging comes in. Quantum charging is a new technology that has the potential to revolutionize the electric vehicle industry. By using quantum mechanics, quantum charging can transfer energy much more efficiently than traditional methods. This means that electric vehicles could be charged in a fraction of the time it takes now.

Why is this important?

Quantumcharging could have a tremendous impact on the electric vehicle market, making it more competitive with traditional petrol and diesel vehicles. Quantum charging will cut the charging time of electric vehicles from ten hours to three minutes. To address this problem, scientists looked for answers in the mysterious field of quantum physics. Such concept of “quantum battery” has been first proposed in a seminal paper published by Alicki and Fannes in 2012. It was theorized that quantum resources, such as entanglement, can be used to vastly speed up the battery charging process by charging all cells within the battery simultaneously in a collective manner.
