Flourishing organisations today have discovered their purpose – its their touchstone. It forms them, connects them to a wellspring of inspiration and creativity and acts as a magnet attracting people that resonate with shared purpose. Organisations of the future - ‘Teal’ organizations (Laloux) - are connected with their ‘evolutionary purpose’, their deepest creative potential to bring something new to life, to contribute something energetically valuable to the world. It reflects the deeper reason the organization exists and relates to the difference it wants to make in the community it operates in, as well as in the marketplace it serves.
We don’t think up a purpose. We discover or rediscover it. It is already within each and every one of us and it is what founds, forms and binds organizations. So.. how do we discover this magical purpose? The mere act of triggering an inquiry into purpose begins the quest. Our purpose is encoded in our past and we can catch a glimpse of it in the space between what we care passionately about, what we are good at and what the world values and needs from us. These first glimpses begin to reveal purpose and equally importantly help people remember themselves within the ecosystem/community of which they are a part.
We invite you (your team, organisation) to begin this quest in ½ day workshop, facilitated by the Red Zebra Group
